Or at least giving one good attention on that special day.<br /><br />I recieved many birthday wishes on facebook, my email, cellphone and on msn chat, which really warmed my heart. But I'm thinking I wanna spend the next one in Denmark ;) I had a little home-sickness that day (too)...besides, I wanna have the real treat again! :P<br /><br />Husband forgot all about it, but he's in luck to have a lovely younger sister (gugu, chen li min), who went out for dinner with me, the kids and her husband, Antony. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWqwNXbtasybez7H1U6fdZ35hHZtgBEW47vLy91NWqewgR-5kpKLf3s_OIsAGQnGgcIUcZ9ErDBatIAbySfQ0ivtsVtXz_2WlGjOvucIFwYGzyJoOrHTtB5PdtBzmqN515XiFETSQyCBTU/s1600-h/IMG_6512.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWqwNXbtasybez7H1U6fdZ35hHZtgBEW47vLy91NWqewgR-5kpKLf3s_OIsAGQnGgcIUcZ9ErDBatIAbySfQ0ivtsVtXz_2WlGjOvucIFwYGzyJoOrHTtB5PdtBzmqN515XiFETSQyCBTU/s320/IMG_6512.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323834084313466066" border="0" /></a>We went to Swenson's close to Songshan (Taipei city) airport. So...Hub is in China doing his business, and meanwhile I've the luxury of having the keys to the car and can take it out when ever and to where ever I want.<br />And I have and do. Earlier this week I went to Taipei city to the fabric market for a little fabric <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxZV463c3675NPO5LLrcfauMLXiHAFpKaGObz4HBdaWZ2hgFyx1RNWuLCDsQMLLCRpRzvUB3guOgfqra1FS2Y1GySwVidJsW0FRhpqG8A56x1AZEjRDbVr-qEn4WI1b9Q7OmYTP1eFrlXt/s1600-h/IMG_6414.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxZV463c3675NPO5LLrcfauMLXiHAFpKaGObz4HBdaWZ2hgFyx1RNWuLCDsQMLLCRpRzvUB3guOgfqra1FS2Y1GySwVidJsW0FRhpqG8A56x1AZEjRDbVr-qEn4WI1b9Q7OmYTP1eFrlXt/s200/IMG_6414.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323824820134907410" border="0" /></a>shopping and driving back my little girl still didn't sleep (almost 2 pm), so I decided to hit the supermarket (Wellcome) for some grocery shopping.<br />Parked the car and went in. Mila still in a very good mood.<br /><br />While inside I heard a car-alarm and for a minute I thought "hmm...could this be my car?". Got distracted by Mila beggin for a little treat (so I opened a package of crackers, that I paid for later of course). Found a few more things and then went to the counter to pay for our goodies and out to put it all in the car to drive home.<br /><br />eh??<br /><br />GONE!!!! The car is gone!!!<br /><br />F. U. &. K (yea, you KNOW what it says!)<br /><br />I did get nervous for a second or two, because NOW I knew, it WAS my car with the alarm going off and if I had been more quick on my feet, I would have been able to see what happened.<br />I went back to Wellcome and talked to a manager with those few words I know. Simple words like "husband in China" and "no more car", "no more cell-phone"... I guess he did understand, because he kind to lend me his cell-phone (which was a funny looking little one, by the way. It seriously looked like a toy! Remember those cell-phones from the 80's?!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqjCFvgJhSyQhge_ykTSB0Cr40ohik4kf9ai0M2o0E4E2v1I0pehS9LA7HPbnLSIWVJOLMZL2UrSvNQGsrHJxYVFsiPHqVbp2nbzm5vwI8RoJcv3HA9RN2vOvXMkd5C5sMa8cUUnFqiMhL/s1600-h/old-cellphone.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 126px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqjCFvgJhSyQhge_ykTSB0Cr40ohik4kf9ai0M2o0E4E2v1I0pehS9LA7HPbnLSIWVJOLMZL2UrSvNQGsrHJxYVFsiPHqVbp2nbzm5vwI8RoJcv3HA9RN2vOvXMkd5C5sMa8cUUnFqiMhL/s200/old-cellphone.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323824125130509266" border="0" /></a><br />It was a total copy but WAY smaller - I could barely hold it in my hand).<br /><br /><br />So I called hub (only number I've memorized)....He laughed - "ai yo, honey, you have parked right out side the store, right"<br />Uhm...YES...that's what YOU do all the time and you always get away with it..!?<br />Well, husband explained there would be a number on the street to call and ask where it had been taken to. If there wasn't a number written it proberly meant it was stolen, which was why I got a little nervous to begin with. The thought of losing my stuff.... But there it was. A nice number written with white chalk.<br />So the manager wrote the number down for me and I walked home. With Mila on my arm, still happy and in good mood.<br />Despite having our car removed (due to illigal parking, yes yes I get that) along with my house-keys, cell-phone, all the new fabrics I bought which people might think it's a unlucky situation to be in, I was actually very lucky that day:<br />My downstairs neighbor with his granddaughter was at Wellcome too, so he helped me home with my two big bags of grocery! THANK YOU...6th floor neighbor!<br />I could have left it or taking a cab, but we live fairly close to Wellcome, so I didn't mind walking with him home. He also had the keys to the elevator, other wise it might have been a long walk to 10th floor ;)<br />Luckly (see, again, luck) I had forgot to lock the door to our apartment that day, so I was able to get in - with my groceries and still a happy Mila - and call my sister in law, who then gave me directions to where the car was at.<br />Luckly (3rd time!) I didn't have to show drivers license to get the car back. Just my ID and car license. Oh, and 2.100 twd = 62 USD = 350 DKR.<br /><br />See, the thing is...I do have a driver's license. It's just not changed into a taiwanese yet. Yet. But this is a reminder for me to get THAT done too! Quick!<br />On my way back (5 min. drive from our building) Mila finally fell asleep.<br /><br />The point with this story is: I'm not taiwanese, I can't get away with parking illigal. Even if I use the warning signal (to indicate I'll be right back!?).....<br />I will never do that again (I hope!).<br /><br />To be fair, there actually USED to be a parking space right where I parked it..........Tinsterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03749999399028411932noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6894011961364918919.post-19425713922710598942009-03-17T18:59:00.000-07:002009-03-17T19:40:05.692-07:00White thingy is for eating?(Wow - already 3 months have passed and I'm so behind on keeping this blog going. It's SO yummy that even it's morning while writing this, I feel like eating it now!<br />I took this picture a while back of our dinner:<br />We had tomato/eggs, bamboo with meat, some green vegetables with carrots and then some cooked tofu - oh..and rice ;)<br /><br />You can see in my previous post how the bamboo dish look like finished.<br /><br />Directions to cook bamboo:<br />peel it and cut the bamboo meat into little pieces and then boil in water (should be covered) for about 25 min under lid. Check when time is almost up to see how much water have absorbed (should be almost half, you dont want it to burn if there's no water left).<br />Then you rinse the bamboo in new water and let it drip off before frying it in your wok. For that you need oil, garlic, spring onion and lots of chili/chilipaste. You can add all sorts of things, I really like it when hub add little tiny chickenmeat pieces. It's so nice to have a couple of days on your own, I don't want or need it every day, but sometimes I do and then it's really great that both kids can be with their father (they went to his parents) and I can have MY TIME. <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">So....what did I do with all that free-time?</p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">Well, saturday morning I had a ”date” with Michele at the The European School's Christmas Bazaar. We were there to sell some of Michele's stuff. It started 11 am and we arr<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMkq20ltE56gjwty8OMaC-IaveawKYa4C2NmLzyFkMX6ShgNZI74qrf2SlnrZSaBhdS6OqhiHA9nXZtGKmiiacTDKtvdFJrHCbMV6NLd1_OQZHX9YI6NebrvbcjYnLyyl5BKjdAfTmMpm8/s1600-h/michele+tes.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMkq20ltE56gjwty8OMaC-IaveawKYa4C2NmLzyFkMX6ShgNZI74qrf2SlnrZSaBhdS6OqhiHA9nXZtGKmiiacTDKtvdFJrHCbMV6NLd1_OQZHX9YI6NebrvbcjYnLyyl5BKjdAfTmMpm8/s200/michele+tes.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274484058959974146" border="0" /></a>ived with style....a little after 11 am..... ;)</p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">It was really nice to hang out with Michele that day, just her and me with no kids wanting their mother's attention. We could talk, gossip, eat and drink. We DID, of course, also sell a good amount of her stuff too! When the bazaar was finish around 5.30 pm we went back to Michele's place with the rest and I went home – I recently dicovered that one of the busses near my building goes to Michele's area, so I wanted to try this route home. Me being a bit ”stupid” again, took the bus the wrong direction! Yep....bravo...but in all fairness, the bus don't say which direction it's headed, it has BOTH directions listed, so you really need to know which side of the road, you want to jump on the bus. I think I rode the bus maybe 15 min in the wrong direction before getting off and on the mrt (metro) the RIGHT way! When I finally was back home, it was almost 1½ hours<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja2enyLx4fyPTHI_bXrc7EclLQj3IsMVNca5i_LFW-J-CPyEeo8221dkLjitrEK0Wyt_Nu2nLRAYgATuQXCItvHvKLGxyR0StiqGux7bt_06hFxgupNk9aFrCbenK8A-flz6-peRlUFJxj/s1600-h/street+pup.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja2enyLx4fyPTHI_bXrc7EclLQj3IsMVNca5i_LFW-J-CPyEeo8221dkLjitrEK0Wyt_Nu2nLRAYgATuQXCItvHvKLGxyR0StiqGux7bt_06hFxgupNk9aFrCbenK8A-flz6-peRlUFJxj/s200/street+pup.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274484813132976082" border="0" /></a> later than expected ....</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">On my way home I passed a street puppetshow, I took a quick picture and walked away. I was too tired to stay and watch....and to listen. It's kinda loud :) But I actually want to try see one longer than just 3 min. I remember the first time I came here to Taiwan, my friend Joney (husband's sister) took me out and we passed a street theater, I didn't understand one word of what they saying but I understood the meaning (the lost love and getting it back). It was a really good experience and the performance was exellent! Yes, I do know there is a difference between humans and puppets... ;)</p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">I showered and ate my dinner (wanted to get curry but it closed 8.30, I was 5 min too late -damn bus 257) and watched Tropic Thunder. Funny, funny movie!</p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">I wanted to <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIEXqZo3iCBAWPfNIxxXbOc-Issiogu0cH9nK1P-H6Y0hXb352ONAm8kl1baF9DwhJ3Z8sMRCkMZvG3gkwEsHXvQ9itrp5sdNnlJG2h1A8CAbGeIrwfgsIdWnEBUyAcuybIT8O1QABO9dV/s1600-h/taske1.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 134px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIEXqZo3iCBAWPfNIxxXbOc-Issiogu0cH9nK1P-H6Y0hXb352ONAm8kl1baF9DwhJ3Z8sMRCkMZvG3gkwEsHXvQ9itrp5sdNnlJG2h1A8CAbGeIrwfgsIdWnEBUyAcuybIT8O1QABO9dV/s200/taske1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274486499647031186" border="0" /></a>go to bed around midnight, but I've been trying to make<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivTIXdvWUs9xgdic0mSfrzS7Wbf6qGYbyChwDIhDfLQ1AKjWUbb_wxhKzLZUBgC9Ql8zEAZObfKhlKNb4n_5_EwhtstKPi3qMAO8sPccbc67FDA7Oe1RgNKt6vZ8AKiUaLTrFtDzsCCpBK/s1600-h/taske2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 134px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivTIXdvWUs9xgdic0mSfrzS7Wbf6qGYbyChwDIhDfLQ1AKjWUbb_wxhKzLZUBgC9Ql8zEAZObfKhlKNb4n_5_EwhtstKPi3qMAO8sPccbc67FDA7Oe1RgNKt6vZ8AKiUaLTrFtDzsCCpBK/s200/taske2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274486923762442082" border="0" /></a> a bag the last couple of days, so I really wanted to finish it – and I did! It took me an extra 1½ hour (slow, I know, but I took my time, since there weren't any kids to look after) but I think my proto bag look nice. There are some details I need work on, but it's still a little funky, don't you think?? ;)<br /></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br /></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br /></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br /></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">Sunday I slept until 11.30, boy, that was nice! I just bought some samples because buying large pieces would be kinda risky. What if I'm a disaster, then it would a a waste with all that fabric.<br />The fabric market is huge! There is SO much pretty fabrics, so I might go again for a second, third, forth.....hundredth look!!<br />This is my favorite of today's buy:<br /><br /><br /><br />Moving along - before we went to the fabric market we had some lunch. Burger King on 2nd floor at Taipei Main Station. There is only food and drinks on 2nd floor and a lot to choose from. We went for burgers today - Burger King IS the best fast-food-joint comparing with Mac Donald and KFC.<br />Mila had some fries and she had her first taste of kethup today. There is on 11th floor a store called Daiso, where you can get almost anything (not food, though. Only if you consider chocolate at food!!!) at nt $ 39, which is DKK 7. This is similar the danish store, TIGER (the difference between Daiso and Tiger is, at Daiso IS IT 39 for 1 item, no matter how small or big the item is, oh, and that Daiso is japanese). I went to buy things for Victor's upcoming birthday party. I want to make a birthday cake, like I always do in Denmark for birthdays, so I need a few things.<br />These places I go to - I usually go with my friend, Michele. She is my navigator to this city!!!<br />Maybe I should give her a flag next time. "Michele's guided tour to Taiwan's shopping-treasures". It should be curry namnam because it's really goooooood.<br />Right, mom?? So I bought her "ru rou fan" which is braised pork meat with gravy on plain rice (usually plain rice). This one taste a bit different from the rest I've tried, there is not so much gravy on this one. I like ru rou fan a lot, it's such a simple and tastefull dish.<br /><br /><br />Then I bought dessert<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo-RNp9eJfivTzuvYRr66AXFDCCHhpBY29V4c10iH9XItVOsFZvXCJTwf7w_wY5LUD0ogJN8wHqXycLysrsDRU-246ocn973YDN0mKEbIgxJWk1oYFafnxeql6moxOJp917_LhP5e3mCv4/s1600-h/dessert.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo-RNp9eJfivTzuvYRr66AXFDCCHhpBY29V4c10iH9XItVOsFZvXCJTwf7w_wY5LUD0ogJN8wHqXycLysrsDRU-246ocn973YDN0mKEbIgxJWk1oYFafnxeql6moxOJp917_LhP5e3mCv4/s200/dessert.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265026742506669234" border="0" /></a>.<br />It's zhen zhu with some sort of black jelly (please, anybody who knows what it really is, correct me) and shredded ice. After the nap we'll go, I told him, so when we arrived, Brendan wasn't there yet. Victor went all shy and didn't wanted to come inside.<br />I tried talking to him, tried to close the door leaving him in the hallway alone, tried to "threaten" about having Ba Ba come and take him home again.<br />Nothing really worked eventhough all the other kids, there were already there, he have met before. So I put Mila down (as long as there are plenty of new toys, she don't mind strangers!) and carried Victor inside. It didn't take long for him to see, there were nothing to be shy or scared of. And only 30 min later Brendan arrived - today w<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQIlMTMi65eiV-FliX53AAUDTGHBkNN1-XwpsJVsJd6r1N2nSWyl2K-aaKMimfMzhnY5nrCbJ2tbGkUfdGw2KJcG4jGHJuHt85AWG9kCWVdQ5jCR2Ym5rXZHif0A1JD29WpYyTe_jEZZ3p/s1600-h/bren.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQIlMTMi65eiV-FliX53AAUDTGHBkNN1-XwpsJVsJd6r1N2nSWyl2K-aaKMimfMzhnY5nrCbJ2tbGkUfdGw2KJcG4jGHJuHt85AWG9kCWVdQ5jCR2Ym5rXZHif0A1JD29WpYyTe_jEZZ3p/s320/bren.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264073213649075906" border="0" /></a>ith a face of a cat. Miau...cute!!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />We started off by playing music, dancing and singing to songs that Michele had with her. Songs to be played on the DVD of course, otherwise it'd be really hard to have all kids playing along. The toys would just distract too much :D <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb0ajqIbRy9XvVmXldDW1wt1vFYdla9M8gluS2vhBTJ_g8gtC2gcU71hS49XhqsjFwBpwDsPjfQE4yCCIfp-VDx71BphSQtTvtGYpy7ZDm2B9KiMCfl_cSZopSXATSGEUbNmQbMbJKihmD/s1600-h/finding+music+instru.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb0ajqIbRy9XvVmXldDW1wt1vFYdla9M8gluS2vhBTJ_g8gtC2gcU71hS49XhqsjFwBpwDsPjfQE4yCCIfp-VDx71BphSQtTvtGYpy7ZDm2B9KiMCfl_cSZopSXATSGEUbNmQbMbJKihmD/s320/finding+music+instru.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264078286501132786" border="0" /></a><br />So the tv helped out alot!!! :P<br /><br /><br /><br />Then we had some dinner. Some very yummy dinner. Taco's, Burger's, Pasta (I made that one. I say yummy, because I liked it, but somehow I ended up bringing almost the whole portion back home again. Yay. Pasta for three days on!!!~sigh) and loads more food. I had a Corona beer with my food. It was nice cold and was long overdue, if you asked me!! :)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdQqaNwz8h5Be4TWaF2n6bAKxid0e5c7w6V3DI-qwC5S7EdngKLuGO1K_Ln6saYXtI_soruLpDHMY-Rn5IhnnUtkgodKcB4DWimEqzDjd4iUjAcpIOHe2uSqGopm5xMkKCs8RQ6TCfxx8O/s1600-h/food.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdQqaNwz8h5Be4TWaF2n6bAKxid0e5c7w6V3DI-qwC5S7EdngKLuGO1K_Ln6saYXtI_soruLpDHMY-Rn5IhnnUtkgodKcB4DWimEqzDjd4iUjAcpIOHe2uSqGopm5xMkKCs8RQ6TCfxx8O/s320/food.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264079482164708530" border="0" /></a>After the dinner, the parents need to burp and let out their stomachs for awhile, so the kids went back to play. Overall they all played very nice with each other. With about 11-12 kids all under 6 years old (right?) it'd be really, REALLY amazing if there weren't any "fights", especially considering most of those 12 kids 2/3 is all boys!<br /><br />Just to show how some parents relaxed - I'd say they had an easy job that night, haha:<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf-viAkithZ42PnEG6eAoaJLwhzAsA3201Dkzr__TnaW-j82ZxqlX4o5XPhtqJlk_7dWdrjRHQS6b2FgAhFGwUWDDmnL4e068BOGsuXvvX04QW066dggefCXe7DCwS1hpJ7buKyut4T2zv/s1600-h/easy+job.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 206px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf-viAkithZ42PnEG6eAoaJLwhzAsA3201Dkzr__TnaW-j82ZxqlX4o5XPhtqJlk_7dWdrjRHQS6b2FgAhFGwUWDDmnL4e068BOGsuXvvX04QW066dggefCXe7DCwS1hpJ7buKyut4T2zv/s320/easy+job.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264080992014871522" border="0" /></a>Then it was time to more fun. All the kids (and some parents) put on costumes. I didn't bring any for Victor, but Florian had two (his mom are so smart!!) so Victor could try on the one Florian didn't wanted. Which was of course a Devil outfit. Perfect for Victor!!!!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvslAMw_rQkl2zPSBQ3xctE9cconIrD1qj9IpDrynOL3ruyKeUt17_siv6HXtcqWiG6EIUoKrvSY1dzNP4-wmcefK9vPlCZO759QbL7HE9sJuDhKkLN7avvQG99VnPIEiZEyEuGqLPMw9a/s1600-h/devil.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvslAMw_rQkl2zPSBQ3xctE9cconIrD1qj9IpDrynOL3ruyKeUt17_siv6HXtcqWiG6EIUoKrvSY1dzNP4-wmcefK9vPlCZO759QbL7HE9sJuDhKkLN7avvQG99VnPIEiZEyEuGqLPMw9a/s320/devil.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264086230996537010" border="0" /></a>We then gathered all the kids up in a line (well...that WAS the idea, but not all have understood the concept. Victor!) and they went for the treats. Parents hiding in all the rooms with the candy. It was over pretty fast!!! But the main point was, that all the kids got something in their little bags. They ate and ate untill time was 8 and time to go. It was a really nice evening, hecktic and loud as well, but all seem to be having fun. Which is the main goal, right?<br /><br /><br />This is Victor's bag (someone actually gave him this one last year at some other event, he just liked the bag and I had completely forgotten it was a pumpkin untill I got the invitation for tonight! See how much Halloween means to me :P ) and this is his harvest of candy!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDiFwBiS7WX5ne5M7yi9v9MqaYabUMxKdB3MrKvdgA_f5IWoUrdr7vR_QtD25vVRxES0AUafu-y7RjIDQMlT3qEBgO5nQLI9k8vVKv3c4Zp7g-k_9HSHmagJEMvHg7GyaV9h32kt4900Xg/s1600-h/candy.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDiFwBiS7WX5ne5M7yi9v9MqaYabUMxKdB3MrKvdgA_f5IWoUrdr7vR_QtD25vVRxES0AUafu-y7RjIDQMlT3qEBgO5nQLI9k8vVKv3c4Zp7g-k_9HSHmagJEMvHg7GyaV9h32kt4900Xg/s320/candy.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264083064982079186" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijoM7-9fVV6qgoPH7EtGrDFDM0HyKZip7ppVwl32Qb5tC4a3bANwTwUJ66Xr3sVadJ9Cs0H1_cXkpeD7knW2dgG79F68vP9uCsU4FT2R61q3z8ezm28QIbPD2oD2Z2iK5fvZSq3nmPUf43/s1600-h/candy+bag.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijoM7-9fVV6qgoPH7EtGrDFDM0HyKZip7ppVwl32Qb5tC4a3bANwTwUJ66Xr3sVadJ9Cs0H1_cXkpeD7knW2dgG79F68vP9uCsU4FT2R61q3z8ezm28QIbPD2oD2Z2iK5fvZSq3nmPUf43/s320/candy+bag.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264082962666111138" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />As for the candy, you got crackers, chocolate cookies, lollipops, gummiebears, chips and then you got the taiwan-style candy: Sea-weed! And for me, it's too funny.<br />But I guess you have to be or have been in Taiwan to really understand, that the way she acts is much like the way A LOT of taiwanese girls acts. I admit ;) a BIT overdramatized, but you get the picture, right!?<br />Now that I found a way to watch it with english subtitles I have yet ANOTHER good tv-show to watch. Thank you, Internet!!!<br />Ps - and it always help if there is a handsome guy in one of the leading roles, right!? Weibo Pan, or Wilber Pan is very very nice looking. He's a model/actor/singer (aren't they all??).<br />Miss Xiao Hua is played by Rainie Yang, a very famous actress/singer, a girl I've learned to like.<br /><a href="http://tw.youtube.com/watch?v=b-oT3ZhrYBw"><br />http://tw.youtube.com/watch?v=b-oT3ZhrYBw</a>Tinsterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03749999399028411932noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6894011961364918919.post-82994556855169020172008-10-27T07:00:00.000-07:002008-10-27T08:02:28.991-07:00Mila and her teaMila got a few sips of my nai cha (milk tea) the other day. But that didn't happen.<br />I happen to spend most of my time driving my dear husband around. Apparently he had some HUGES hangovers (been there) from last night bar-outing (done that!), so he could barely talk when he was going for work. Let alone drive....It wasn't really my idea but it wasn't a bad one either: the more I drive in Taiwan, the more confident I get, obviously! The traffic is much worse than the traffic I know from Denmark. People in Taiwan simply have their own rules, even my husband, who's a very good driver, but he would get LOTS of fines in Denmark if he ever drive there using "his rules" :)<br />So we took Mila with us (of course), put her in the baby-car seat, hub in the back talking to her (and relaxing and making strange noises into a plastic bag, wonder what that was all about, he he) while giving me directions.<br />He did pull a "nice" stunt on me - he told me in the morning to drive him to his office, but "forgot" to tell we had to swing by Linkou which is not NEAR his office. Thanks, honey.<br />I didn't bump into anybody and we didn't get into a fight about how I should be driving, so overall a good driving day!! :P<br /><br />ps. My older brother might tell you differently, but I'm actually not that bad of a driver....... ......<br />...... ........................I am not...................really.......Tinsterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03749999399028411932noreply@blogger.com1
